How I work

Humanity, respect, openness and curiosity about each person's unique experience are the values my practice rests on. For me, being a therapist means above all creating a space where the other person feels safe and can bring all kinds of feelings, experiences and thoughts. Even the ones that are hard to talk about. A space where there are no “bad” or “good” feelings, and no “right” or “wrong”.

I treat everyone who trusts me with their story with respect. I want therapy with me to be a place where you can get to know yourself, live through difficult periods and gradually find hope that a full life is possible.

I'm not someone who rushes to explain what's wrong with you, hand out labels or offer ready-made answers. That isn't what creates change. What matters to me is exploring together what is actually happening with you and your relationships, why it works the way it does and what we can do about it.

My path

I'm from Odesa. My own path in therapy began when I was 19, brought there not only by curiosity but by a sincere wish to help myself. That personal experience became a solid foundation for my professional work.

My life experience includes three years of forced migration in Barcelona, and I now live in the Netherlands. These changes gave me a deep understanding of crisis, loss, searching for yourself in new circumstances and adapting to life.

In my work I value real contact with people. I pay special attention to feelings and to the body, because the body never lies and holds a great deal of information about our life experience.

What I believe

I truly believe that good psychotherapy gradually strengthens your sense of self-worth and your right to be yourself, to have your own wishes, feelings, boundaries and choices. It helps you reclaim authorship of your own life, learn to rely on yourself and stay in relationships with others without losing yourself.

It matters to me that in therapy a person gains more freedom: to speak, to say no, to ask, to choose, to make mistakes, to change their mind and to take their place in the world.
