Psychotherapy wherever you are
My approach
Sometimes the hardest thing is to understand why we keep ending up in situations that make us feel bad. We don't know how to break the cycle of the same difficulties and crises coming back.
We can know a great deal about ourselves and still get lost in closeness, stay silent when we want to object, or pull away at the very moment another person becomes important to us.
In therapy I'm interested in exploring your story and what is happening to you right now. I'll help you make sense of your feelings and experiences and notice your habitual ways of reacting. Gradually you can learn not to avoid your feelings, but to understand them and use that understanding for your own good.

About me

My name is Veronika Kibuk. I am a qualified and certified Gestalt therapist. My professional training includes studies at the Pogodin Academy and NAGTU, work in therapeutic and dynamic groups, long-term personal therapy, and group and individual supervision. I have further specialisations in crisis and trauma, family systems, couples and small groups, and work with the body.
I'm not someone who rushes to explain what's wrong with you, hand out labels or offer ready-made answers. That isn't what creates change. What matters to me is exploring together what is actually happening with you and your relationships, why it works the way it does and what we can do about it.
Training and approach
- Master's in Psychology, Odesa I. I. Mechnikov National University (2022)
- Nuffic diploma evaluation (2025): Dutch university master's level
- Pogodin Academy
- NAGTU
- Therapeutic and dynamic groups
- Long-term personal therapy
- Group and individual supervision
- Specialisations: crisis and trauma, family systems, couples and small groups, body-oriented work
Humanity, respect, openness and curiosity about each person's unique experience are the values my practice rests on. For me, being a therapist means above all creating a space where the other person feels safe and can bring all kinds of feelings, experiences and thoughts. Even the ones that are hard to talk about. A space where there are no “bad” or “good” feelings, and no “right” or “wrong”.

When anxiety starts in the body
A knot in your stomach, a shallow breath, a racing heart. The body doesn't invent these symptoms, but it sometimes speaks about what we've long ignored.

Closeness without losing yourself
Why can we long for closeness and still push someone away the moment they get too close?

Separation doesn't mean you stop loving your parents

Questions and answers
Frequently asked questions
What is the first session like?
In the first session we meet for the first time: I tell you about myself and how therapy works, and you tell me about yourself, your expectations and what brings you.
I remember how nerve-racking a first meeting with a psychologist can be. Sharing what you're going through with another person takes courage. My aim is to create an atmosphere of trust and safety so you feel comfortable telling your story.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on what brings you and on the format. A consultation takes 1 to 3 sessions and helps with one specific concern. Long-term individual therapy can last many months. For lasting change, clients often choose to work long-term.
How do online sessions work?
We meet online on Google Meet or Zoom, whichever suits you better.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Sessions are never recorded, and only you and I are present. I follow the American Psychological Association's Ethical Principles of Psychologists and Code of Conduct.
When do I pay?
Payment is made at least 24 hours before the session, unless we agree otherwise.
Can I cancel or reschedule?
Yes, free of charge up to 24 hours before the session. Sessions cancelled later than that are not refunded.
Do you work under supervision?
Yes. I work under individual and group supervision, which oversees the quality of my work. I'm a member of the National Association of Gestalt Therapists of Ukraine (NAGTU).
What if I'm in crisis between sessions?
We usually meet once a week. In a crisis, an extra session can be arranged at short notice, depending on my availability.
I'm not an emergency service. If your life or someone else's is in danger, call 112 (EU, Ukraine) or 988 (US).
